days on the internet.

Make the racey map thinner. 8 players, 6 lanes. That will shrink down the
overall map making significantly less points available while making it much
harder, much quicker. As for the upside down pyramid, it may be cool to try
stacking a normal pyramid on top of it with lesser point values as you get
farther away from the middle level. Then there will be a good balance
between sticking around up top to stay alive longer and rushing lower to
retrieve the bling. It might also be interesting to work in another game
variant in the mix where there are blocks that don’t destroy scattered
about with time limit. Again, just adding another level of strategy to the
pretty simple concept of not standing still.

The race style map is my favourite point runner map so far, and i’ve played
quite a few games of point runner

Hello everybody, and welcome back to another minecraft video!

Rather than adding a timelimit, why not set up a commandblock to check for
score so there is a score limit?

Xisuma you know how each ore has a different sound what if you made a map
that had a tune on the first part like the cross grid, but I think you
mentioned it was random :( but it would be awesome to see if that’s
possible like a tune on the starting line :) 1+ if you agree

I think it’s more like TNT-run.

Can people also design maps for point runner? I love the game and I have
had some ideas for a few maps and it would be aswesome to contribute
something =)

If you don’t mind, could you change the title of the video?
I’m making a game right now and I thought this was gonna be about designing
maps and such for other games, not for a Minecraft minigame on your server.

Hey X! i have come up with a new mechanic to add to point runner maps! come
to /plot home:3 seamanp near the back of the plot to see… Please? there
is an arrow pointing to a sign that explains the mechanic.

You should have player activated traps.

A new type of video! Today we are going to do some level design :-)

Why not do like a contest once or twice a month? Have like different teams
that are connected via Skype or Razer Comms, each team having a plot with
walls around so nobody can see what they are up to. Give them like an hour
to build their map, and then add all of the different Point Runner-maps
into a map pack like you did with the challenge maps. After that, let the
players on the server (e.g. Your Twitter followers) decide which map out of
the pack they want to be added to the official map rotation. Doesn’t that
sound great? And if they like more than one map, then they can both be
added. That way, you get maps created by a variety of people from the
community, so you can get everyone’s perspective. Like this if it’s a good
idea!
