Heck, I use Nodus for Fullbright and that tends to eliminate darkness.

Unfortunately, that’s how it is with all dark/dim areas. While it looks good on your monitor, it does not look good on YouTube. It’s quite a bit darker. Rule of thumb: 1 torch ever 6-7 blocks when you’re in a dark/dim area (for the viewer’s sake).

I’ve noticed it with the texture pack in general. I turn my brightness all the way up, but can still barely see when I’m playing.
Will you be updating the customizer any time soon? If so, would it be possible to add a lighter version of netherrack/nether brick?

Doesn’t matter one bit anymore, unfortunately. You can have all the skill at the game in the world, but it would still take years for you to get noticed, if ever.
