Being a solid block means you are exactly in the 1×1 square and not floating or in 2 blocks. If you look closely, you can see the outline of the block you are playing as.

If you are moving around youre block kind of glitches around even if you are standing in place if you are still for five seconds its asif a block is placed where you are.
