AHha! thank you xman, a friend was trolling me with this trick.

Just place string under the block, then updating the block will not cause
it to fall, unless you place a block under the string and remove it.
For traps, use this method, and place string ontop.

You need to prank someone with this on hermitcraft, either on a small
scale… or a really HUMONGOUS scale >:) muhahahaha!

wow. keeping it short and sweet I see Xisuma. you are by far one of my
favorite redstone tuturial makers on youtube. Sethbling makes giant sets,
and Mumbo Jumbo makes big walls hiding the redstone making the machines
look huge. yours are easy to understand and don’t have a lot of chaos with
green and purple wool for different parts of the machine. I love your vids.
catch ya next time!

sethbling showed this before you…

It would be awesome if you could create a trap using these floating gravity
blocks so you have a pool of lava underneath it, and as soon as somebody
steps on the blocks, they fall into the lava…

Mumbo already showed this principe.(at least i think it was mumbo)
He showed a player trap using this technique with sand/gravel and placing
tripwire on top of it before breaking the plant.

I hope they keep this because it’s annoying using sand for creative builds
and having to use sandstone at the bottom because it’s te closest color to
it (like when building the head on a player)

Slow down! I could barely keep up! Ok. So… Float what?

In many cases, your videos explaining simple things like this takes a
couple of minutes. I really enjoyed this because it got the point across
super quickly! ;) Thanks Xisuma, keep posting that Hermitcraft ;)

Some people say minecraft physics are not realistic. Seriously, come on!
What is more realistic than placing a block of sand on top of grass so it
can float :)
That aside, these 30 second videos are amazing!

I’m guessing that because the block is left floating the game detects you
breaking the flower as just breaking the bottom half every time, avoiding
the update that would trigger it to fall

Awesome ‘n easy ! Thanks xisuma , you are awesome As always

Another super quick tutorial ;-) An easy way to make floating sand in 1.7

I hope this never gets fixed cause its a pretty cool one. Its not like you
can easily do floating sand etc in regular minecraft. And recreating those
sand dune/waves that you sometimes see is impossible unless you have MC
edit or do this trick.
