It will actually work. Did you watch the whole video? Once xisuma hit the land and fell from the actual height. 6:02

Same way people discover speed-run glitches/skips……
By not having a life.

I (this is Lonnie_Mack) discovered it a couple years ago. I rode my boat into a 1X1 waterfall. When I left the waterfall I was flying in my boat. I started experimenting with it and taller waterfalls. It got more tricky in 1.6.2 until I came up with the platform and pushing the boat into the block, which forces the glitch.

So it’s like pseudo flying. Basicly you are truly flying, but the boat isn’t. The player however is dependent on the boat . But the boat is slightly de- synced so you could ever so slightly sail over land. But with pracicly no leeway. You’re position in the boat however is true which is why I’m still counting this as a form of flight. It’s just going to take some imagination to make some use of it in some practical way.

If you don’t glitch the boat you can setup a bunch of very high waterfalls and try to see how far you can fly it from waterfall to waterfall even go over land.
Mobs may block you even with you way up in the air.

That’s a cool glitch, also nice that you always credit the people in your video’s! Pretty sure Lonnie_Mack appreciates that a lot :) Thanks for the explanation, I won’t use it though because I’m not a glitch-guy, but I’m sure it’s useful for many people ^^

What happens if you are floating over a lake covered in lily pads? Do the lily pads break or do they just stay there?

He didmt say it was his idea… So just as you are sure Etho wasn’t the one who created this, yet you said he did it, just as that, Xisuma didn’t say he created it, he just made a video about it.

Couple questions; does the player appear to be flying to other players and do you take fall damage if you run into ground?

possibly he was just trying to find a way to have a flying boat.

Etho did this months ago. I am sure Etho wasn’t the one who created this but this surely isn’t your idea to make a video off of.
