That’s awesome! The biggest button ever! I love redstone! :)

Is cube dutch?

Why no budswitch? Because it outputs redstone and updates periodically :-)

The most obvious use for this to me would be to trigger some noteblocks.
The device triggers at “noon” so build this into a clock tower.

Couldn’t you just use a BUD switch?

Wait, when did the feature of the toggleable daylight sensors come in? Did
I miss something?

What if you used a bud switch instead? would that work?

I like cubehamster

Why not just use a regular button?

More vanilla Minecraft soon?

I got it down to 16*3*2 by turning the input circuit sideways. I’ll try a
bit more tomorrow, although I don’t expect that I come up with anything.

Nice build with Cube (:
The only downside I see is that the daylight sensors have to be open to the
sky /:

To save on materials you can use a block with an item frame, and an item
inside of it, instead of a hopper. Rotate it 6 times to get a signal
strength of 7 like the set up.
Another option would be to get a jukebox with the Melohi disk.

Why dont you just use a bud-switch on it? :P
August 9th, 2014 at 9:22 AM
You could make it act like a lever rather easily if you just compared the
signal of the sensor to another sensor, so if they’re the same it’s on and
if they’re different it’s off, couldn’t you? Then you can hook it up to a
dual-edge if you want the button functionality. I’ll have to try that.

Wait, when did they add the right click function to the daylight sensor?
didn’t know about it.

Gonna try and beat you cube, judging by the video i think i spotted some
potential to make it more compact.

Is the [Item or Block name] a bug?
August 9th, 2014 at 9:35 AM
It’s a cool concept. But what are the uses for it?
August 9th, 2014 at 9:36 AM
Todays invention is a collaberation with @cubehamster . Daylight Sensor as
a Button! :-)
