for lighting, you flick a switch and it turns the lights on in a hallway or a room, or you hook it to a mob spawner and have it turn the lights on in the mob spawner to disable mob spawning and turn it off when you want them to spawn.. very useful.

Two monostables where one gets powered with an inverter? So basically, you turned a lever into a button. a.k.a. making it give a pulse when its on and off? :O
