Why not just use cobble waterproof pipes and pump the lava back to the base and then have it go in to he geothermal gen there. Would have saved al those diamonds.

He means pumping the lava from the ravine directly to the base using the less resource intensive waterproof pipe and having the geothermal generators at the base, rather than using the hell expensive glass fiber cable to conduct the energy.

*seems

I think these are my favorite ftb series.

True, but I pump lava from hundreds of blocks away from my base where I’ve found an enormous lava pool, it sems to work fine. Cobblestone waterproof pipe is way less expensive than glass fibre. There is no need to use gold pipe to get lava out of the pump, either. Whee!

side Q but what football club do you support?
December 7th, 2012 at 8:33 AM
I don’t understand if you used golden or cobble transport pipe to bring the lava to the generators in your base you could have had power and save a lot of diamond.
December 7th, 2012 at 8:33 AM
You have a diamond drill but no electric wrench or treetap? Also, you always always bring the lava or water to the generators never the other way around, as you’ve seen pipes are cheaper than wire. Tell Jessassin he’s a fail teacher… just sayin…

you could have pumped the lava through cobblestone pipes back to your base and into tanks. This could have saved you all the diamonds on the cables. the geothermal power generator do not need to be near the lava.
ps: thnx for the awesome vids. I have played IC but it was fun learning about the other mods in FTB. keep up the good work :D
