if you break ice it does create a water source but you have to hit it with your hand

I’m pretty sure one of those chests had something useful in it like a stack of grass (I think?) because I remember the diamond chestsplate chest xD

You can make half slabs so you go double as far with the same amount of blocks you would use :)
