If you ran out of steam just use a combustion engine to create more.

Aww bummer but I understand you man. I had a blast watching you and playing
modsauce for myself and it was great fun. But since XPD went out I stepped
kinda back from it and came back to creative building cause as you’ve said,
due to the limitations of MC it kinda gives me more fun to build in
vanilla. If I finished mods forever? I don’t think so, cause I love coming
back to them :)

To be honest, Xisuma, I feel like you may have liked the mods a bit more if
you didn’t have an audience. The beauty of the mods is that there many many
ways to do any given task, and people forget that. For example, you could
have used MFR and simplified that tree farm down to three machines. Hell,
you could have used Ender IO and simplified it down to one. That’s not the
point. The point is building a system that works. I can imagine that
putting effort into a system that you’re proud of then looking at hundreds
of comments saying “You could have just done this” is very frustrating. I’m
sure there are other reasons why you got burnt out on the mods, but I would
say that those types of comments didn’t help much.

Also, I suggest you play modpack a with the HQM quest book mod because it
will help you learn the mods in the pack (some suggests that you probably
have already heard of: agrarian skies, crash landing, and blastoff)

I totally agree with you Xisuma. I watched dmac and slip on modsauce but
then i got a bit bored of watching it! I totally prefer vanilla! :P

I personally hate technical mods in minecraft just because it is for people
who like to remember complicated stuff for no reason except making
everthing easier and not having to think about anything without being
really creative because of some restrictions arent there anymore. I love
esthetic mods, though. Shaders, 3D physics, more animations and all this
other cool stuff out there. Xisuma could do two survival series Hermitcraft
and one with esthetic mods and a texture pack for building.

Dear Xisuma,
It’s unfortunate to see this series come to an end, as I really enjoyed it.
I get that modded Minecraft is difficult for you. Modded Minecraft is not
something you just get to know in a day, don’t feel bad about it. Also,
there are theoretically endless ways to make a particular machine, so yes,
that includes your wonderful ideas too.
I do hope one thing though: that you learned some stuff you will be
remembering. Not knowing what a lumber axe is is an example of what you
couldn’t remember, but I know there will be moments where you think about
that smeltery where you dropped villagers into to get emeralds.
I also hope you learned some things about life: don’t try to progress too
much information in one go. Try to create stuff with the things you already
know, and slowly learn a few bits here and there to increase your
capabilities of building more powerful contraptions.
Anyway, I hope you had fun playing while it lasted, because I’m sure many
of us did too watching. Never forget that you too have fans that will try
to support and help you as much as they can, because that’s what we’re for.

Yes, so happy this is gone. More energy can be put in vanilla minecraft
now! I can’t wait to see what inventions you come up with next :D

I’ll support you in anything you decide to do, you are a very great and
dedicated YouTuber. As evidence, you responded to my comment on a video
several says after it was posted, and you put a conscious effort to
respond. Thanks for being so dedicated.

Sad to see you go, I’m still playing here too!!!! ;-)

Everyone need a break, so only doing vanilla for a while is the right
approach. When you come back after a map reset you could target just a
limited number of mods, only bringing new mods if it can be justified.
February 1st, 2015 at 4:56 AM
Yeah, I do understand. But hope you’ll not wait too long before you try
again. Next time, try to not read the comments too much. What I liked about
your modded series was actually that you did try it your way. (and that you
failed) :D So funny to watch. And who cares if its optimal?

I feel the exactly the same as you Xisuma. I get burned out on mods pretty
quickly after playing with them. I feel as if people who don’t get burnt
out on mods easily haven’t really played vanilla enough and haven’t
explored all of the possibilities which vanilla holds. They probably
haven’t explored redstone or learnt many build styles. I feel comfortable
in vanilla because I know a lot about all the routes you can go down.
But there is then people like Sl1p and DMAC, who can play both without
getting burnt out too easily and can play a balanced amount of both vanilla
and mods. I envy those sort of guys :-p
Also I enjoy watching vanilla so much more, mainly because of how I have no
idea about all the wires and pipes and fingletrons and donglebons :-P

It was good while it lasted. (:
February 1st, 2015 at 5:12 AM
I agree with your opinion on mods.
February 1st, 2015 at 5:12 AM
@xisumavoid if u are saying good bye to the Modsauce series, and is only 2
ppl playing there, why dont you give a chance to new ppl to enter the
server…just saying :D ♥♥♥
February 1st, 2015 at 5:19 AM
Ehhh… I’ve been more interested in watching vanilla anyways

This is the unfortunate thing about mod packs. It is so easy to fall into
the trap of making the game be about the mods. Eventually you have just
done everything, but you never really get around to playing minecraft. If
you guys were to do it again, I would try to put together the pack in a way
that makes it all about vanilla but with a bit extra. The hermits seem to
really thrive on creative builds and massive structures. So, I can see how
just having a machine that does everything for you could kind of kill it
for you.

I’m still doing ModSauce.. though being sick right now it might be a day or
to until the next episode
