That’s a very clever mod! :-)

I do not like the thought of using this mod, even if it is a utility mod. I
like Hermitcraft because of the amazing things you guys do with just
straight vanilla. You’ve never needed such a tool in the past and you’ve
done really awesome things!
Building off camera and taking screen shots is fine, but anything that
changes how you interact with the world doesn’t need to be used.
I don’t care how much you get done in an episode; I’d watch them even if
you just spent the whole time running in circles and taking! I don’t want
to watch if you need to use a mod to help with your building.

Im currently working on a mod like this one, there will be blocks with
lower opacity. No printer features, only (kinda) vanilla.

You should set it up to play a little tune with note blocks whenever a
skull enters the system

I’m not a fan of the mod on camera because it takes away from vanilla but
if you use it off camera i dont care about it at all

I like the idea of the mod, but at the same time I think it’s something you
should utilize off camera. In my opinion it distracts from the survival
aspect of the game and feels a little bit like a cheat.

This is meant to be a vanilla server

It is simply jawdropping the amount of dedication you have already put in
this farm! You are covering all the aspects of it (game mechanics,
aesthetics and utility), I am looking forward to seeing it completed.
As for the Schematica mod, I think it would be a great tool to use to make
the whole building process quicker. It’s not like you’re using a printer or
anything like so, can’t understand why people are so reticent to it. You
just need to do the same work, just more efficiently, and if that would
mean more timelapses, go ahead! :D

I am still not too happy with the sleeping and enderman “mod”, but this
schematica is just too much! If you keep this mod on the server then I find
it wrong to call hermitcraft a vanilla server, you guys have the modsause
for those things. So please X, remove the schematica and do it the vanilla
way! :-)

For yur filter use SIGNs and rename them to “Filter” in an anvil. that way
you dont have to use Items to filter. use 5 “signs” and 2 “items” so all
you lose is the 2 items.

Xisuma. hello. I think I am first again. I know it is hermitcraft but on
last episode of blaze farm I thought about something. can you do like
tutorial or something of spider farm?
February 20th, 2015 at 8:10 AM
That mod is so kewl!

schematica is a cool mod, however, this is a vanilla world. Of course it
makes things easier, and makes things quicker, but think about it. There
will ALWAYS be a mod that would make things easier, and make things
quicker, for no matter what your doing in minecraft. You kept running out
of inventory space, so why not install ender pouches, or backpacks, or
golden bags of holding? That would make it easier on you as well. See
where Im goin? There will always be a mod to get things done easier, but
then why play vanilla? Just play mods. Just my thoughts, personally I
prefer to keep vanilla as vanilla, and keep mods with mods..but Im just 1
person in this giant universe, to each his own tho. Love the rail station
btw!

Doesn’t forge just have an installer

Thanks for the feedback. Would just like to point out this was an
experiment, not a permanent fixture. An interesting criticism of the mod
was that it was “lazy” and made building easy. Personally i saw it as
productive, if building was quicker, then i could get more done with my
time. Anyway i will adress this again in a future episode :-)

Of course i knew, it would happen hermitcraft turn into a modded server
what’s next mod galacticcraft? I still like this series but it does’nt have
the same feelings =/

Xisuma I don’t think that you should use this mod in the hermitcraft server
, because that is a powerful mod and you are playing in a vanilla server, I
know it can make things faster and easier to build but you have to remember
that this is vanilla and if you are using mods this should mean that also
the other hermits should use mods then this would make this a moded
server. If it was a moded server yeah use this mod and the other mods but
this is vanilla and vanilla should be played without any mods.

+xisumavoid normally the blocks are transparent but the 1.8 release is
