Thanks +xisumavoid
I always plant my crops in one big square, about 25×25, and put a water
source every 8 blocks. I might just have to change my farming ways!
I’ve been playing Minecraft since Alpha and I didn’t know this!

Okay that’s very very interesting, I love facts like that! Thank you
Xisuma!

Ooh I didn’t think intermingling two non-homogenous crops in rows works.
Also, another thing to note is that tilled land around it affects growth
rate as well, in a positive manner.

And I now grow them in alternated rows… xD
I had no idea, and this will help!

I can see how the usual player wouldn’t know this. I have a massive
database of Minecraft technology so I learned this a while ago. Thank you
for telling them xisumavoid.

In all the time I’ve been growing wheat – which is one of my favourite
things to do in minecraft – I never knew this. Thanks Xisuma!
February 10th, 2014 at 8:33 AM
never knew this, definitly going to be alternating my crops in future.
IDEA: mojang should make it so if the last corp planted on a plat is the
same as the current one growt rate is also halved, not stacking

February 10th, 2014 at 8:34 AM

know that!! I dont think a lot of people knew that! why nobody told us that?
This is the best myth busting episode for sure!! probably the best myth
busting I ever heard… well not a busted one but a very surprising one!

Could we get a redux? I am curious if the same crops on different
elevations will still trigger this game code check. For example, if plant a
row of wheat at Y:25, then plant another row of wheat at Y:26, will the
game “see” the higher or lower crops? If so, does it affect the growth
rates?
February 10th, 2014 at 8:39 AM
Haha I remember chatting about this “myth” in your previous video and no
one believed me :D
February 10th, 2014 at 8:39 AM
Wow I had no idea about this im so glad we have a guy like u to inform all
us minecraft players about the answers to these myths :)
