Xisuma, Medieval and Fantasy are what do good on the Gameling when it is first released. Remember your Medieval/RPG on the Gameling, Hollow Bones. These are what’re gonna roll in the cash when you begin. Usually the Genre should be of the following: Action, Adventure, RPG, and , I’m not a fan of, Simulation. It Depends on you Agent X. LAWL XD

Sliders are just for focus. On the GDT blog a while back, they talked about how dropping one slider doesn’t eliminate development in that area, but lowers it’s priority. On the other hand, dropping the slider all the way allows you to have a primary focus item. Eg: If you had a Fantasy/RPG, design is more important than tech, so you keep things like AI at minimum.

I know that, I meant that if he slides them to the lowest possible, the customers and fans would not like it. And But this fact I am telling doesn’t apply to some things. Like how he got the hit game on this one, it depended on the Gameling (GameBoy I.R.L.) and his Game Engine. Thanks Doc.

I have a game that I’ve done without publishing deals. Instead, I recommend using advertising to build hype. I also try to time my games so they are in development at each game show convention. I am averaging in the 5-10million profit per game without any publishing. Granted, I’ve hired a good staff, trained them well and it pays off.

Quick tip – my approach to the game is somewhat inverted. I have developed my company to be specialized towards Adventure & RPG games. It’s a bit slower to start, but pays off. So most of my staff are design oriented and I focus research and training on design oriented things. As a benefit, I have a high level of design-oriented skill and it pays off. Think along the lines of Square Enix.

‘Overboard’ was a pretty awful movie starring Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel which was released at about the same era as your game. It’s a good thing that the game engine doesn’t take things like that into consideration because that movie tie-in would have failed miserably.

first of… great vid!
but…. the multiplier doesn’t work for the design points or tech point. it also doesn’t benefit the money you get from the game!!! it only increases the amount of XP you get
plzzz like so he can see!

Remember Xisuma, These are at the early days after the release of the Gameling. The best Genre is the RPG
