xisuma use mind controll on the best crew like mantis or rockman putting it
on engi or zoltan is not worth it no matter what room they are in unless
there is no other crew

You say the halberd beam is silly, but if aimed correctly it can be a
powerful weapon

I just got this game from a friend over steam and I seem to have the worst
luck when it comes to finding stores. I have died quite a few times so far
either because I ran out of fuel or I took loads of damage and couldn’t
find a store to refuel / repair.

When the enemies boarded at 4:40 , i think a good strategy would have been
just to open the doors there to the outside of the ship so that they lost
health or died due to a lack of oxygen

Xisuma, you had totally had enough time to get to that quest marker and
back, but I guess taking the drone parts was a valid option at the time.
Also, when you were getting hacked before that one pirate battle, if you
hadn’t of chosen the blue option, it would have disabled your engines for
the duration of the fight.
A few more things to consider: choose either the ion blast or the hacking
drone. They both function essentially the same, disabling specific systems.
The ion does let you change your targets, but it takes up weapons energy,
which you could put towards the halberd beam instead, while the hacking
drone permanently disables a single system, as long as the drone doesn’t
get destroyed or disabled. The hacking drone also lets you control when you
want to disable a specific system by giving you that activation button.
Another thing is your mind control targets. Pick targets that will deal the
most damage to the ship/crew, such as Rockmen or Mantises. If not, Humans
are usually good targets as well, and if the enemy crew happen to have a
Zoltan, you could try and cheese them by getting him killed, as Zoltan
explode upon death and deal 15 points of damage to their surrounding crew
members. Another good option is a Lanius, the new race introduced with the
additional content. They passively suck the oxygen out of the room they’re
presently in, and if the opposing ship has a mixed crew, you could try and
suffocate them. Just remember to reactivate the mind control when it
finishes recharging, that way your targets don’t have a chance to heal (if
that function is available to them).
As for spending your scrap, I highly recommend more energy. Having more
systems running at a time is a great advantage, plus, you don’t have to
keep flicking your oxygen supply off and on. You could also apply it to
your drone bay to apply more damage, although, again, powering the halberd
beam is a good option as well. The more rooms you hit with it, the more
damage it does, as with most beam weapons, but it can also cut through
enemy shields at a cost of one less damage per shield level.

You should upgrade your reactor so that you can have constant power to the
medbay and oxygen system as well as power to at least one drone.

Episode starts with telling us that he’s having trouble keeping up with
everything. Proceeds to make a near perfect run. Good one, Xisuma! :P
This episode was a HUGE improvement over your last. You were really on the
ball and focused. Good job! :)
As usual a few notes:
I’m not a native English-speaker, but I’m fairly certain ‘debris’ is
pronounced as ‘de-bree’. The ‘i’ is as the ‘ee’ in ‘seed’ and the ‘s’ is
silent.
I usually prefer taking offline some of the engines, over taking down the
oxygen. By taking down the engines you lose a few percent dodge, but I feel
that’s worth it because it saves you from having to worry about the oxygen
levels (which can make things increasingly hectic as the fight goes on).
Matter of preference, though.
You could also consider diverting power from the engines to a defence drone
if the enemy is relying on missiles.
If you find that a lot of your shots are missing and you can spare the
firepower (for instance when the weapons are already down), you can try
taking out the engines and/or helm first. That way more of the following
shots will hit. I think the game should have some indicator of how much
evasion the enemy has though.
It might pay off to take offline the teleporter or the medbay sooner if the
enemy is using a boarding strategy. It saves you from the hassle of
appointing crew to the intruders, switching system power to the medbay,
switching out hurt crewmembers and efficiency loss by not having
crewmembers man their stations. Giving you more time to focus on the actual
threat.
Lastly.. You’re not really using your beam weapon. I think you should sell
it the next chance you get. Remember though, that for the flagship battle
you need something to take down the people that are in the weapon rooms.
You don’t have a anti-personnel weapon and you don’t have boarding
capabilities.
But really.. This run was great! :)

Can you do a episode from your minecraft myth busting to see if gold
enchants gets better enchants than diamon?

In the battle with the flagship use the hacking on the cloaking or hacking
(so you stop their hack) If you get hacked on the O2 room by the flagship
you will be dead, you should get a clone bay at the last minute (happend to
me and the cloning saved me)
