left click on recipes = 1 at a time
right click on a recipe = 5 at a time. so if you want bulk then its easier
to do them in 5’s. Ctrl+ click transfers everything of the same type of
item from container to inventory.
Also, by pressing ‘Alt’ you can display detail informations i.e. what is in
a chest, what an assembly machine is crafting and what a furnace is
smelting. (I am probably the 100th person to request this, so sorry about
that.)
Overall, great start! Keep up the great work, Its really good to see a
youtuber that i have watched for such a long time get into a different
game, which i also love!

Good stuff man. Here are a few tips in case you don’t know them:
-If you press alt we will be able to see the settings for assembly
machines, the contents of pipes, etc.
-In your chest, you can control+left click the stone to send it all in the
chest at once. Control+right click to send half of it in. Similarly, when
taking stuff out or putting stuff in machines or furnaces, control+left or
right click does the same.
-When inserters are removing stuff from a belt, they grab from one block
up, like the end of your ammo belt for example. Not important but you can
make the belt one block shorter in these situations.
-You might need separate belts for your iron and copper eventually. Once
you really start cranking it out, that belt will get clogged up very fast
and limit your production.
-I thought I had another tip but I forget now.

I like it when you upload other games than minecraft ones in a while and I
also really liked the first series of this, so I think this one will be
good also

This feels like automating IC2 with BuildCraft

It would probably make sense to have seperate lines for iron & copper
plates since they’re used in a lot of things and even the fastes belts
might not be fast enough. Or is this just a temporary setup?

You don’t need to have the end of a transport belt right in front of the
last inserter (for exapmple: the fuel/iron line going to a furnace)
inserters can pick up stuff from “diagonally behind them” so you can cut
the belt 1 earlier. Hope this helps :D

For crafting:
Left click – Craft 1
Right click – Craft 5
Shift + Left/Right(?) Click – Craft as many as you can.

Ohh, i start loving this game more than i thought :D But it’s just soo
awesome ^^

Press ALT – that will put an icon over every assembly machine showing what
it is crafting, and over each smart inserter showing what it will grab, and
over every chest showing it’s contents. It makes it much clearer how your
assembly line is working.

All of the conveyor belts are so confusing. I don’t really get them but
it’s still fun watching you make things. I might buy the game and play
around with it myself. It’s a pretty good price for a game that has this
much and is still in alpha.

I absolutely love Factorio X! Please keep up the good work.

I’ve got to say. I LOVE this series! I watched the first two minutes of
episode 1, and decided to immediately purchase the game. I know you have an
interest in videogames similar to me (and a lot of us here I’m sure) and
your glowing recommendation made me sure. And it has been wondeful! I’ve
used every ounce of free time on my weekend to play this game, and I’ve
made a complete mess of a base! A spaghetti workshop of conveyer belts and
random chests. But it’s incredibly fun. Now I’m tuning back into your
letsplay after having plenty of time to discover the game on my own so I
can see how this game really can be played!
Sorry for the long winded rant, but seriously. Thanks for letting me (and
others!) know about the game, I can’t wait to see you do more. And of
course, no expectations. Keeping it casual sounds like a great idea. I look
forward to it

2:20 good idea for it to have priority. use a splitter though that way it
doesn’t eat absolutely everything coming out of the smelting area.
3:20 Shift right click will copy instructions, shift left click will paste
instructions. also, can you please turn on advanced info (press alt).
5:16 one electric miner can run two stone furnaces just as a random
thought. with the overflow input at the top you should be right.
9:33 it does become an issue. the turrets will take only 5 ammo and large
attacks will burn through a couple of units pretty quickly. you can get
this bottleneck effect if you’re not careful where turrets further upstream
will choke off those downstream. be careful with your design to avoid it.
15:01 or we’re thinking oh my dear god…. On the bright side, you’re going
to have some awesome problems to solve in the near future :D

I love this series even though I really don’t know what’s going on. It’s
fun watching you having fun and makes me feel nerdy. :D
