And also you don’t get xp for mining gold or iron but when you smelt them you do! Hope it helps :)

U get xp for diamonds, coal and emeralds because their not ores and cannot be retrieved by a silk touch to farm xp

You only get xp mining when you mine the actual like… mineral? Idk like diamond, emerald, coal, redstone and lapis
But not iron or gold
Also you can shift click armor :D
