i dont get the maximum of villegers , i got like 300 in my village. i made like 50 houses. now they wont stop breading. got more iron golems then houses(i farm the golems for extra iron). if a zombie spawns the golems protect the villegers so i dont know what you are doing wrong. the only difference is i used houses(and a few breading projects). mine are 4 doors pointing to a block with a torch on top, and a stone roof because i did that underground.
