Day Night Sensor Array Tutorial
This tutorial will show you how to build a day night sensor array to detect if its night or day faster than a single sensor. The more sensor in your array the more sensitive it will be. Chunks are 16by16, by building the sensors in the same position every 16 blocks they will always be in a different chunk, its all in the maths :)
April 22nd, 2012 at 9:21 AM
yea its 16blocks but anywhere works ? isint chunks are preset ?
April 22nd, 2012 at 9:27 AM
if u use ice on fast graphics you can see the edge of the chunk
April 22nd, 2012 at 9:30 AM
I don’t think that matters, since there’s only one block that’s updating, and that block will always be 16 blocks away from the equivalent block in an adjacent sensor. Therefore, that block is in another chunk.

If you build a glass tube to the surface then yes :)
April 22nd, 2012 at 9:31 AM
His was a light sensor! :)
April 22nd, 2012 at 9:32 AM
how do u know that u are not buildign it over 2 chunks? i mean how do u found out where the chunks meet and stuff
April 22nd, 2012 at 9:34 AM
why not to build it underground and having only the glass exposed to air
