To have you show us, in-game how certain redstone mechanics, devices, etc. work would be insanely awesome, I tend to agree with the mod aspect, but only say, some of the basics, like verticalredstone, possibly redstone wifi and redpower :D

If you do end up making the server I think its should be a creative architexture/redstone server [Those are my main minecraft intrests] Hope fully you can get the server up and running too =D

How about tiny blocks as a server mod? Good for microscopic redstone devices and can make your inventions even more compact! :D

Would definitely be interested in a server.
I guess a bukkit server with explosion control (esp. creepers), permissions, and possibly an economy? Would be totally cool. Looking forward to more news.
