One thing about your overall strategy: one of your armies has two heroes.
Since you seem to need more armies to keep an eye on everything, isn’t
better to split those heroes in order to gain another army?

You shouldn’t worry too much about losing Ekko. If he dies, he’ll go to the
void for 3 turns and will return at your throne city, but remember, if he
dies you won’t be able to make any new researches for those turns and, if I
remember correctly, your empire will suffer a happiness penalty.
