That sounds very tough paul. and although different you should do the Manitou Incline in Manitou Colorado. over 2.2 miles raising in nearly 2000 feet from the start of the trail. A healthy person can do this in one to two hours losing their breath. A crazy person can do it in 50-30 minutes and the few can do it in under 25. A true skill of endurance in the summer heat. (hike not mud so a bit different) Thumbs up if you have done it!!!
