i’ve got another idea.
why dont you use piston pressure, and then kill mobs with potion?
it will be faster and more compact.
to separate creepers from undead mobs u can use cat =)

Xisuma, don’t build a nether portal right beside the mob collection point! If you really want it you’ll need to either turn it on and off manually or have some trap doors or something in front of it. Don’t forget, when you get the rates up that place will get very crowded and mobs will start glitching all over the place, through the walls and everything. And these glitchy mobs CAN push you, even if they can’t hurt you. So they’ll just push you inside the portal if you’re afk-ing.

I think you should go with the original idea of the four sectors instead of the nether storage idea.

Oh, and another thing, remember that if you make the collection point and xp farm and whatnot right on top of the trap it’ll make 1/4-1/5 of it useless, since those floors will be within twenty odd blocks, and will as such prevent spawning.

keep in mind a dispenser with bucket of lava, i think its a better option for exp farm, because this glass tube looks foreign and ugly (imho).
