hey john, if you need long cobblestone walls, you don’t have to put each block yourself. just let flow down lava then put water on it.

It’s really awesome that you’re building a mob trap. However, due to the new mob AI, the old-school big-platform-with-water-cannels design isn’t really effective anymore. There are tons of videos on new mob trap designs on youtube. Anyway, nice vid :).
