Fluffy has a certain amount of chance to spawn in hydro dam. It’s not
always there

I remember reading Hatchet, such a good book. There is also a sequal which
plays out as if the ending of the first book never happend. If you get the
chance pick up ‘My Side of the Mountain’ by Jean Craighead George, its in
the same vain as Hatchet.

Hatchet may be good, I haven’t read it, but I guarantee that the GONE
series by Michael Grant is absolutely amazing and an excellent read. if you
want an intellectual book, read Watership Down, which is EXTREMELY
entertaining to read and has some dark undertones.

Some tips
Softwood is easier to start a fire with so start fires with cedar then add
fir wood to extend it. Once your fire skill is high enough, you won’t even
need cedar anymore.
The plants that can be used for meds.
Rosehips: Can be made into tea that warms you up and cures sprains
Reishi muchroom: Made into tea that warms you up and cures infection
(eating bad food/water etc)
Old man’s beard: can be combined with bandages at a crafting station to
make the bandages antiseptic.
Harvest newspapers to make multiple tinder plugs. You honestly should never
need to forage them as the game gives tons.
In a pinch, you can harvest cloth to make bandages should you need.
If going for a wolf, get him to run at you and shoot point blank. Bullets
are valuable and you don’t want to waste them having to shoot wolves twice.
For that matter, you really want to avoid using your matches for light. If
you run out of ways to start fires, you’re as good as dead.
I believe herbal tea makes you heal more when you rest. If you find
coffee, that temporarily delays fatigue.

The Blood reference in the very beginning was pure gold.

Protip: The sewing kit is, surprisingly, for sewing. Use the cloth to get
the condition of clothes up as high as possible, the higher the condition
the better warmth bonuses clothing provides, so early in the game it’s
worth breaking down inferior clothing for cloth.
