The new mob AI changes in Minecraft 1.1-1.2 snapshots has severely decreased the efficiency of my mob spawner, so I’ve been working on a new design. Today i’ll start breaking down some of the areas that I need to move or change. I’ll be working hard to finish the rebuild, and hope to have it ready to show in a few days. Mobs On Demand – Minecraft LP #37

It took a few extra days, but my new spawner is complete. Though snapshot 12w06a has fixed the mob spinning/jumping problem, my new spawner is much better, and I’m happy with it. Instead of using gravity like my other ‘no water or pistons spawner’ this spawner uses a unique spawner pad floor design and water to wash the mobs down the hole into my XP farm.
