XCOM Enemy Unknown “Introduction” Part 1 (1080 HD)
Want a chance to be a soldier in my XCOM playthrough? Click here! bit.ly ESRB Warning: This title is rated “M” for Mature Audiences XCOM Enemy Unknown by 2K Games and Firaxis is finally here! It is the “spiritual successor” of the most beloved X-Com UFO Defense by MicroProse from 1994. I played the classic to death and it is by far one of my most memorable gaming experiences. XCOM puts you in the role of a commander of a multinational military organization to defend Earth from invading aliens. Your job is to manage the organization (personnel, research, spending, base construction, etc) as well as oversee tactical missions against alien forces, from gear load-out of the squad right down to every single footfall and trigger-pull of each trooper on the ground! How is the difficulty curve for this game? It looks interesting but I think I would be terrible at it, seeing how I’ve never really played a turn based strategy game, and I am totally horrible at chess and all that stuff. But I still want to play it for some reason >>

Did you get a chance to revisit the original game before playing this one Paul? I’m having a hard time locating the old XCOM and I was curious if you had already had it or if you went out and bought it. I plan to buy and play this one, but if I could stop buying games of off GOG dot com, I might actually have my games list of 20 un-played games down to a more manageable number…

Not a bad idea, actually! Considering the whole “sci-fi” theme ‘n all. I might do that on my second playthrough if I do one after finishing my first.

I prefer the old turn based system. This system seems way to simple and limits strategy to cover and shoot.

Paul, you’re a great guy, and I love your channel, but even for a turn-based game you were playing this slow. In the actual let’s play, I hope you’ll pick the pace up a little. You’ll give us old-man strategy gamers a bad name. :P

Run and gun is for dashing and then during, I watched u use it multiple times and just waste it by walking in range of your first move unit, run ad far as you can and then u can still shoot, otherwise don’t use it, its just a waste
