    But mobs are able to travel through water,so the door is just meant to be a decoration instead of a real mob-proof door

    I’m sure that could be eliminated with a bit of rewiring so that the top pistons don’t function as a BUDS. If a BUDS is necessary it could be added separately and linked into the top pistons.

    there is a mod called camstudio or you can just use the F8 key. (F8 is know where near as good)

    Yes they do u may have mixed it up but stone dont get triggered by dropped items

    Since 12w21a you can put bucket of water/lava into dispenser to make triggerable water/lava source.

    I just tested this. It does not work with lava. I think the issue is that the top blocks work as a BUD switch. Water flowing past this does not trigger, but lava flowing does. Therefore, it opens, but as soon as lava flows, they close again.
