Great idea!!!

i’d think a emerald would make more sense than a diamond, but I feel like a diamond block is also too cheap, what harder to obtain than a diamond block, but easier than a nether star?

you should swap the nether star with a block of diamond maybe, and it would be cool if u can color it with dyes, because if u can color the leather armor you should can color a leather belt :)

cool idea, but I think it should be slightly less expensive than a nether star, maybe something they could add to the game like a new gem, amethyst perhaps? it could only be found in a certain biome, similar to emerald, and be just as rare as diamond.

Yeah, I’m not thinking in terms of making it costly. I’m thinking in terms of gameplay design. If you think of all the things that have a hostile mob drop in their recipe, the only one that makes any sense in Peaceful is the Enderchest, and that isn’t necessary to play at any point. It just doesn’t make sense to have an item that would be useful in Peaceful, and then have a non-Peaceful item in its Recipe. [That Diamond block on the SIDES idea is a bit TOO pricey for 9 slots, btw LOL xD]

I think a nether star is the right ot

Peaceful players can’t get bones, string ghast tears and all that stuff eiter, so it wouldn’t matter.

To those saying the Nether Star is fine, I see where you’re coming from, but like I said in my other comment, think about peaceful players. There’s no item that you’d use in Peaceful that is dropped by a hostile mob. But this Belt is intended for builders, many of whom play in Peaceful. So the Nether Star WOULD be an issue for them. I said Diamond because, though Emerald ORE is rarer, you can trade villagers for Emeralds without ever going mining. Need something between NStar and diamond rarity

a diamond would be too cheap, maybe a block of diamond?
December 30th, 2012 at 8:04 AM
I think the nether star is the right item to use because you can find diamond pretty easy and nether stars take more of a challenge to get otherwise it would be to easy to get those 9 extra slots

I think the nether start is perfect, if it was just a diamond everyone would be walking around with them. it would be like using a diamond for a beacon… imagine if everyone in minecraft had 5 beacons, not fun at all… Anyway Xisuma this idea my my face light up when i saw it. i honestly thing you should try and put aside 5 min every day and brainstorm more of these legendary ideas/designs :)

Love the idea. Perfect recipe for just vanilla but if people want a bit more of a modded experience maybe some other items to get it. I might end up attempting to make this as I’m just getting into modding now. I’ll let you know I get successful :). Again awesome idea

I can see the way your thinking… but you can’t always please every one.. tbh I think that even those irons should be changed to diamond blocks so it would be realy costy item.. but well ^^ I aint mod maker so ^^

Everyone like the video! More people will see this vid.

Maybe it should just swap the bottom part of your normal inventory window, since added space is most likely considered “OP”.. Otherwise a fine idea.
