Talking about auto-farms, check out these two blocks from Forestry
ftbwiki. org/Combine
ftbwiki. org/Farm
“Combines can be used with the Farm in order to have an automatic farming system in place”

You could use xychorium dirt under the cacti which makes it grow faster. Hint you can stack them

how do you reload???

Xisuma, for cactus you could use iron pipe with obsidian pipe to collect cactus that goes to a chest or a tesserac :) its elegant and cheaper to make! :)

for the steam engines, you dont need pipes if you place the engine directly on the tank. it should draw the steam straight from it at the highest rate possible.

hey xisuma, id love for you to take a look at frames and frame motors.
ive been trying to make my own mining machine based on direwolf20’s use of mining-wells on an inchworm engine frame-ship, but i was trying to avoid using turtles and use block breakers and deployers instead. but i cant figure out a compact system that gets the mining wells back into the deployers.
ps, mining wells with max MJ go to bedrock in an instant.

you can use smart strawgolems and wood golems to the farms

hey xisuma. Just some constructive criticism. you recent FTB videos, have well been boring. A really great episode was when you were making the gold farm. I think its because everything your doing, e.g the machines your making have all been done before. You have to remember that we watch heaps of other ftb players. The thing we love most about you is your uniqueness, from avalon, to your old lets play. No hate :)

I love how you consider the aesthetics and also figure stuff out on you own. I’ve been going with the pyramid idea since FTB Ultimate came out and haven’t got past the first few layers. Keep needing moar power! Steam is great – you can attach the engines directly to the boiler btw. Doesn’t look as pretty though.
Forestry, Steve’s Carts, Minefactory Reloaded (FTB Ultimate) and T5 spawners have tons of solutions to biofuel genl. All of which take time to figure out. But that’s the fun!

What pack is this?

For the wheat, you could make a Steves Carts farm.

woo you’re producing a lot of Micheal Jacksons!

i dont think you would lose that many items using just fence post on the 2nd layer of the cactus and using water streams+pipes to collect the items. worth testing :)

Use stills to make biofuel instead of refiners
April 1st, 2013 at 6:32 AM
I believe they are using the Mindcrack FTB pack. Possibly modified.

Use Thaumcraft golems to farm instead :)

Aqueous accumulator get infinite water from a water source at the cost of nothing.

Sorry, ignore that, thought you said “noob” not “nope”
