Map Height Bug w/ Portals – Minecraft 1.1+1.2
I noticed a small bug related to the increase map height in Minecraft 1.1 + 1.2 (the snapshots 12w07a, 12w07b, and 12w08a). I had built a floating island above the old sky-cap in my LP map, but the portals would not return to the correct portal location up on the floating island… they would create a new portal near down at ground level. After some further testing, I realized that they have not yet updated portals to enable them to teleport you anywhere above the old sky-cap map height. Minecraft Adventures!: Episode 4 – Witty Titles
