Minecraft Snapshot – Ladders + Biome Updates
Minecraft Snapshot [12w01a] just came out with a few minor updates and bug fixes. Now that they’ve removed the collision effects from ladders, you don’t take fall damage on them, but you can no longer use ladders to prevent other items from falling (like minecarts). This caused my minecart elevator to break, so I’ll show a couple alternative ways to fix the issue. The new Minecraft snapshot added a “SuperFlat” world type, however it’ quickly gets covered with slimes and friendly mobs because it’s not covered with half-blocks / slabs. This obviously wont help much if you’re testing a mob-spawner design in a test world… So I’ve made a download file for this superflat map, but I’ve added a layer of half-blocks on the top.
