Minecraft Spotlight – Amidst
In this video I show off a very interesting program I’ve recently discovered thanks to my friend GenerikB, which shows off your entire world(Even parts that haven’t been explored yet!) Not only is it great for seeing a full view of the type of map you’ll have but it also shows off npc villages, strong holds, nether fortresses, even the chunks slimes spawn in! Jungle River – Minecraft Old World, New Map #6
I’m slowly moving my first world buildings over to a new map in the Jungle (and building some new things as well). Today was the release of Minecraft Beta 1.6 which included the addition of tall grass and shrubs within the game. Right now, both of those blocks are being used solely for aesthetic purposes. I wonder if in the future Notch will give them a purpose soon. The tall grass can be found throughout different biomes, whereas the shrubs are only found in the desert biome. minecraftchick.com

Minecraft Snapshot – Ladders + Biome Updates
Minecraft Snapshot [12w01a] just came out with a few minor updates and bug fixes. Now that they’ve removed the collision effects from ladders, you don’t take fall damage on them, but you can no longer use ladders to prevent other items from falling (like minecarts). This caused my minecart elevator to break, so I’ll show a couple alternative ways to fix the issue.
