Later through the Companions Quest line, you can “cure” yourself from the Bestial powers, though I recommend not to. It’s far better to have then.
I saw you have Dawnguard installed. You fight the Vampires more effective in Werewolf-form than in human form. ;)
Personally,I think the Old Orc lived a more righteous way. He fought and died in battle as a warrior should. It’s better to die while you still can hold a weapon, instead of being chained to a bed. That’s how most warrior cultures lived.

It’s a good run… In my first play-through, I lost track and was already lvl 40-something when I got to High Hrothgar….

You can cheat by Giving a Dragon Soul to Ro and You will get Dah.I used this to get Nah in Whirlwind Sprint and in Fire Breath.
