If you wanna make it even harder to spot, build it deeper down the stairwell where there is even less light for you to see the pressure plate. Also lava isn’t necessary, you could just build a deep hole that will kill from the drop height alone, lava is just more fun :D

cool, might use it for an adventure map or something

I really like that you put the pressure plate on the stair to ensure the kill. Even if you lose the pressure plate within the process, it’s not like they’re going to fall for it twice.

You need tripwire hooks to set it off and a hole in the wall is way more visible than a dark, partly hidden away pressure plate. In my experience with the walls pressure plates work better.

This redstone trap is very easy to catch. Most of everyone who plays the walls Always Be careful of traps when attacking the other sides. Torches could easily Make that pressure plate visible. Having it go under the next block to step on to go down does make it less easy to see. I would suggest The tripwire More than The pressure plate because A string only has a few pixels on it that are grey and make it far less visible then a pressure plate. In my opinion, This Is a good trap. Well done.

since you get repeaters, why not make it auto resetting (i e the trigger block does not get pulled back), but use the repeaters for a delay to make sure your opponent falls in.

on the walls map I wouldnt make them fall into the pit of lava I would turn most of it to obsidian so they would die from fall damage and if you were just mining in the cave you would get all the loot easily although it might be harder to reset because you have to climb all the way back up in order to

Like if u like Hypixels maps
October 20th, 2012 at 9:35 AM
good idea but he would be able to hear the lava sound
October 20th, 2012 at 9:37 AM
nice

Then you always have the chance that people stay on the pressure plate because of the sound, or it’s not timed well and they just go over it.
