    here’s what i do. I dig a hole and put jack-o-lanturns on the floor. then i fill the hole with doors and cover up the hole so it’s not noticable. It really works.

    Have you considering building apartment-style accommodations for the villagers? You know, sort of a council estate for testificates. I don’t know how pretty it would be (although you could get creative with the materials/decorations), but it would probably save space.
