In my 3rd World LP, I’m preparing to build a huge quarry, and now that dispensers drop activated TNT, I’ll do some automated quarry building using the new dispensers from snapshot 13w04a. you could still use the minecart as a timer for some redstone that would power all of the tnt at the same time.

Btw i had tons of building materials from my old base and 2 freinds helped me, thats how i did it so fast. We also cheated in some if the bridged courtasy of an admin who thought the server needed some cool builds

I did this on a snapshot server and made my house there. There were bridges, buildings on the sides of the hole, and all sorts of awesome stuff. Not as fun as building on the inside of a nuke crator in ftb but it was pretty cool. I got trading, lots of semi automated farms and 3 mob grinders now. Thanks for the tip!

if you use a minecart with a chest, it will count as a minecart with a player inside. so than it’s easier to make that stuff.

couldn’t you just dig down to a preferred stopping point and put a whole layer of hoppers then 1 block above put an infinite pool of water to stop the explosion and have an auto collection system that way?
