How to Make a Quarry – Modded Minecraft #9
In the 9th episode of ‘Modded Minecraft w/ Docm77 & Monkeyfarm’, we’ll make a BuildCraft Quarry. We’ve been running out of many materials like iron and coal. Our new peat farm also requires dirt and sand, so we figured a quarry would help us get a lot of inventory without all the mining. Enjoy! We planned to use the Tekkit modpack, but decided with the upcoming ‘Feed the Beast’ modpack… This has the same mods as Tekkit, but has the full support of the mod-makers, Check out Direwolf20: www.youtube.com Docm77: www.youtube.com Monkeyfarm: www.youtube.com Currently installed Mods: Buildcraft 2 Industrial Craft 2 Red Power 2 Forestry Railcraft Iron Chests Code Chicken Core NEI NEI Plugins Wireless Redstone We want the community to be involved with this series, so please give us your feedback and suggestions. We welcome them all! Enjoy! Info about the upcoming Feed The Beast Pack: www.feed-the-beast.com http Info about Tekkit: www.technicpack.net

You can use combustion engines that use oil and water.
You can use pumps to take out the oil and the water.
Like so the can see it!

You can put some water source blokes at the top of the quarry. That will turn any lava into obsidian and that will be mined by the quarry =]

The RE-battery doesn’t need to be charged for a generator to work… To craft one, i beleive it’s 2 tin bars on each side, redstone in between and a copper cable in the center top layer… Hope I helped… :)

you are a dangerous influence on me Mr. monkey. I’m supposed to be studying for exams, but every new episode brings me so much closer to succumbing to temptation and getting into tekkit.

if you use the oil to make fuel, then use that along with the water nearby, you can pipe the fuel and water into combustion engines and the quarry will be much faster.

If you want to get items out of chests / engines etc you need wooden pipes and a redstone engine powering the pipe. i saw the peat engines trowing out the ash, but they didnt put it into the pipes.you’ll need the ash later.
check out gates and assemblies for the pipe system.
