Xisuma why don’t you put the “XisumaDictionary” in your website instead of
the one that sends the link to.
And why don’t make a flash game in your website? I don’t know, maybe
hermit-fighters like a beat ’em up game.

Xisuma, it might be time for a map reset in my opininion. I mean, there’s
no challenge in the game AT ALL. And personally, I think the giant projects
finished in 2 days is kinda boring :/ Love the content, keep it up!

Xisuma the reason why stained glass causes frame-rate drops (Not lag, lag
is a different thing entirely) is because it is semi-transparent, water is
also semi-transparent so this also causes FPS drops!
When rendering non-transparent objects the GPU just needs to check the Z
depth of the pixel and then either replace the pixel that is there or
discard the pixel entirely.
But when rendering semi-transparent objects the GPU needs to check the
depth AND read the colour of the current pixel, if the depth is in front
then it blends the two colours together using a blending equation and then
writes the value.
Doing this over millions of pixels is very costly on the GPU, combining
water with stained glass will make this worse (1 pixel can be read, written
and blended many, many times! On a solid object it would either be written
or discarded after a single read).
So any drop in FPS is your GPU struggling to perform the blending equation
fast enough.
Regular glass blocks actually use a solid rendering material (Either white
or fully transparent) so you can regain performance by replacing the
stained glass with normal glass, however the water is still semi
transparent so you will still have a 1x blending equation done on each
pixel that has water on it.
Some extra information; Lag refers to latency where the world truth takes
time to be propagated to clients, when your FPS is low nothing is actually
lagging, what you are viewing is your local truth and it’s up to date to
the nearest screen refresh (So there is a 5 millisecond lag).

You doing a great job there! Really liked watching this.
I would love if you:
1) Do the collecting water stream as an item sorting system
2) Could you replace the different ores and stone walls around the farm to
something more singular. I think of all people you are the one who would
understand that this walls dont look nice :D
great job, i leave a like

For your website: You should have tutorials/strategies for all the games
you’ve played that would be to little to make a video on, and put that on a
page. Sounds confusing, but here’s an example of what I mean:
You have some strategies that you use in FTL, but making a video
specifically about these strategies could take ages, and wouldn’t be the
most fun to watch. So instead, you could make a section of your website
dedicated to FTL tips and strategies, where you write up different little
pieces of information about FTL. Maybe even have it organized in a decent
fashion as well.

Timelapse at the beginning was unusual. Supervised me a bit, but change is
good.
Keep up the great work Xisuma.

Your website ?
I love your timelapses, I really do, and i think they’re awesome. I think
it would be a great idea to have small videos that only contains timelapses
an that are only uploaded there ! Like a reminder of all those crazy
project !

Websites are simply portals to data. If a user can find the data elsewhere
(ie. Videos on Youtube) there is no need to go to another website. You need
unique and desirable data to pull traffic. The dictionary is a great
example. How about a database of all your projects that are downloadable.

I warned you that the rails had to be aligned the other way a few episodes
age. I sent you a message. I will leave a like anyway though.
