You also only need power in engines, and only piloting requires a crew
member for ftl.

hey you should use auto fire
also if you hold ctrl and auto fire is on, the weapon you have selected
will only shoot once when you aim for a room.

I’ve never seen FTL before this series (I’d heard of it, but never seen

If you press Z it opens the doors on the inside BUT, if you press Z again,
it opens the outside doors too!!!!

Also, you could turn off (right click) your Ion blast and Artemis missile
to turn on your second Burst Laser. You can also open airlocks to suffocate
enemy boarders :)

Opening doors is definitely good. Once i survived when i got invaded by
putting my men in the health bay and opening every single door in the ship
that wasn’t part of the med bay so they came to me and died

If you want to keep firing at a certain room, the auto-fire feature can be
useful, it means you are free to deal with intruders or other problems on
your ship while still firing at the enemy.
You can drag the weapons left or right to rearrange the weapon list to make
it easier to pick the weapons you need when using the number keys.
Also, if there is an intruder on your ship and they are in a room by
themselves you can treat it as if it were a fire and starve the room of
oxygen meaning you don’t have to risk the lives of your crew members.
You can also use ‘J’ as a short-cut key to jump to the next sector I
believe.

I kept shouting at the screen for him to stop using the ion cannon and use
the missile or second burst laser again….took so much unnecessary damage
because of that.

Second half –
22:08 that was a bomb, they teleport, ignoring shields and defense drones,
you can only avoid/evade
22:52 You took my 1st half advice already with the double burst lasers,
good job! XD
The Fire Beam doesn’t do any damage directly, but if the fire destroys a
system the ship takes a point damage.
Really like the longer episode! Looking forward to the next one.

Turn on auto fire below the weapons. It will make weapons continually
attack the rooms you targeted with the weapons you used. It is EXTREMELY
helpful with the micro management. Also, you can suffocate enemy crew
members similar to putting out fires with releasing the oxygen in the room
they’re in. So you don’t risk your crew.
