Etho MindCrack SMP – Episode 75: Who Dog?
MindCrack is a server Guude started in late 2010. It is a private (whitelisted) server. We are currently not accepting applications. Today we do some more redstone on our pet shop, do some exploring, and some pet experimenting.

There isn’t much of a benefit. It means you don’t have to take up space putting a lever or a torch next to the powered track. But detector rails are much more expensive than a torch. Mostly, it just looks nice.

mojang was trying to add variety to builds with the wood and many people (including me) loved it. I mean to say mojang is trying to help everybody. Builders, gardeners, adventerers and miners.

Hey Etho. Make the pistons invisible (block swappers etc) so it’s more impressive. : )

Maybe do some experiments with dogs of people that are still on the server (with permission of course) that might make it more clear.

Villager trading, new slab mechanics, improved AI and pathfinding, new sound engine, adventure mode, new texturepacks capabilities lots of mapmaking features, and, i think, new lighting engine.
That’s just from the top of my head, if you’ll go to wiki, you’ll be surprised.
Tekkit wasn’t being updated as a whole, it had like 40 mods = 40 people, each one working on his own mod. And i’ve already told you – compare the frequency of those updates. 2 per week for vanilla or 1 in 2 months for mods.
