@LevanEvan if the halway closed it would destroy the pressure plate

@MraLunaa how would the pressure plates know what direction is infront of you? I noticed that too though. :P

minecraft survival horror right there folks

@LevanEvan Like in the Incredibles?

Maybe you could have just put Redstone ore in the floor?
February 15th, 2012 at 12:39 AM
You know it would just be easier if you just have 1 pressure plate that controls all of them with a delay

@LB725C Yeah someone already addressed that problem to me, and I think i have a really good idea that could implement what i said. I would make it and post a video response but i currently can only use my crap laptop and anything involving even just that amount of redstone would lag my minecraft hard out. Pm if you wanna discuss it so you could make it or something. Just trying to give some input to help improve an already cool design.

“nothing complicated” …really now…

@MraLunaa How would it know which way he was traveling without more than one data point? And even then is takes a LOAD of elbow grease…
February 15th, 2012 at 12:56 AM
Maybe you should make it so the glowstone pops out a little sooner

Nice, hopefully this develops further into something awesome!

@lorenzog4545 yeah i could see that as being a problem now, perhaps it could be made so a pressure plate activates several lights behind and in front of the character and goes off just before you step on the next pressure plate; for this modification to seem viable, i think it would need to have a combination of a accurate delay and less pressure plates so it wouldn’t kill the system. To get a more precise speed, maybe use the system on a mine track and using detector rails.

You should make the pressures plates activate a block swapper that is a few blocks ahead of the player so that it lights up more in front of the player. You could add some extra logic to detect which direction the player is going and then make them activate in front of the player going the other direction.

great, now just goodluck dealing with creepers spawning in there :P

Pressure plates kind of ruin it. Do you think they could be replaced by redstone ore bud switch? Or would that take too much space?
February 15th, 2012 at 1:26 AM
@LevanEvan Difficult to do well, as pressure plates pop off pistons :L

Great!
