Optifine would limit the graphics and negate the mods point, its either a 2gb DDr3 graphics card or hes enhanced his GPU somehow.

You keep repeating “Minecraft in HD” as if it makes sense. I can already play minecraft in HD, full screen on my 22″ monitor. This is an ambient lighting mod, with some tweaks to grass and leaves rendering. Not a “HD” mod.
