Map Making – The Arena: Episode 2
Let’s make a map! The goal of this series is to build a PvP arena of sorts, that is capable of a few specific technical functions needed for my game. This series will likely focus on the designing and technical aspects of the map instead of the aesthetics. Today we try to work out the red stone logic behind the sudden death capture node.

When it goes into sudden death and both teams are standing on the pressure plates and both of them get the win how do you tell who won first?

It’s not hard to build something like that, Just make a BUD switch and put the itemframe (with item) on the back of the BUD piston, Than if u turn around the item frame it will react.

With the sudden death idea, why dont you use something like the timer, and whoever steps on the pressure plate first, lets a block go down a somewhat faster timer. That would be easier too. Just a suggestion.:)

Mojang should make it so if a dispenser fires an item into a frame, it drops the current item and replaces it with that one.

Etho, when the timer runs out and the capture nodes are active you should get a command block to send to all players something like “Sudden Death Mode! Head to capture nodes!” Just a suggestion :)
