A thing I personally find helps is using my pennies on the slot machine first. The Dollar really helps if you manage to get it. (Though I agree fully that the poop is crazy helpful too)
Red tears/shots are caused, too my knowledge, from specific items like the small rock,demonic upgrades, and others.

If you have small rock (makes tears white) and another damage up you get red tears. Fly powerups also knows as attack fly (halo of flies͵ pretty fly͵ forever alone ͵ect) circle around you.

@jcvsmc From watching this video it seems like the attack fly only hits whatever it comes across! So try using that to your advantage as it circle’s around you. Oh, and it seems your shots turn red only when something is effecting your tears AKA the rock being stuck in your head making you bleed into your eyes (Kind of disgusting actually). One more thing, when you have the battery don’t be so conservative with using your item. It will recharge a lot faster!

When Damage is more than 5, the tears turn red. ;)
And attack fly just spins around you but deals lots of damage. ;)

You were right in thinking the blue fly only does damage on contact, and yes it only moves in the same circular motion at all times. Perfect for getting annoying baddies on the other side of a rock, or annoying “Sneaky meats”.
Anything else you can think of as well XD
