I cannot leave a like on this video X….pretty disappointed in the
negativity and the lets just give up attitude that came across in the
video…you should make the best of what you got…its only like 1.5 hours
in…and your giving up? some of the best uhcs ive seen are average 3-4
hours..if your having touble with the ores why not head to the nether? you
could have done so much more…rather than just give up. One thing that
will help you in future uhc’s would be to do a lil homework on your
seed…seems this one is 90% jungle and water…tough to find a cave…but
you dont need to allow branch mining just so everyone can get enchanted and
go fight at 0,0 after 1 hour and duke it out…heres to next season, can
only get better!

Anyone else notice that x’s hand is shaking?

Stop being such a big fat bummer, we all love you and want you to win. You
should have stayed in the cave looking for diamonds. Talking like you
already lost! Man, you should know, I adore you and you’re acting like a
fool And you wanted to win right? the only thing that let me down this
episode is you giving up and looking forward to the next UHC.

one idea in next uhc is to when you kill a player you gain two hearts and
allow strip mining so people will pvp for the health LIKE SO HE SEES

Hey Xisuma,
Banning strip mining was a good idea in concept but in practice it has
really hindered the gameplay. So, maybe instead of limiting how people can
mine but still encourage PVP you could design a system where at ever
episode marker every player would loss one heart but every time a player
dies either:
1.) the person who murdered the poor innocent hermit in cold blood gets 1
whole heart.
Or
2.) (to make it so a mass murderer is less powerful) every person remaining
gets a heart.
Personally, I prefer number one but you could choose either depending on
how others feel about it. Also, you might want to set it so if your health
is below a certain level (around 2-4 whole hearts) it would not damage you.
To anyone reading this I would just like to thank for your time and if you
agree this is good idea please like it so Xisuma has a greater chance of
seeing it.

smelting

anyone else feel like the intro’s kinda substandard?
August 22nd, 2014 at 9:18 AM
No, don’t give up! Every time I watch (and play sometimes) UHC it really
bothers me when people play and have no actual will to win at all, like
they’re so complacent on being killed before even engaging with players and
personally, it’s pathetic. The most exciting thing in UHC (for me) is not
about swinging your sword and hoping you deal enough damage to survive a
fight, it’s thinking of a plan and strategising in order to get the upper
hand even when you are at disadvantage. When I win unenchanted, against
enchanted players, it’s sooooo much more satisfying than being so equipped
that you’re just crushing people like ants (makes you feel bad really).

My thoughts on this UHC would be no more singles.
Compared to other groups like Mindcrack who do UHC you guys feel much more
community oriented – not that they don’t at all, just not as much as the
Hermits.
So having you go it alone was a bad decision in my opinion.
The seed and the caving rule didn’t help but it ultimately just feels wrong
due to all of you being alone. It feels like False is the only one really
in their element and as a result everyone else besides Sl1p who got lucky
is just waiting to die.
As for timing one a month or so is good, though I wouldn’t put a time on it
like “About 30 days has passed, we must do UHC NOW!”.
Despite the fact that I have no patience I don’t mind waiting longer
because I’ve seen all too often what happens when people do things because
they feel they have to rather than WANTING to (not just in YouTube but in
many different aspects of life).
It’s not fun to watch people do things when the person is not having fun.
It’s actually why I personally avoid PvPing most of the time myself. People
pay too much attention to winning as if winning somehow makes it fun, when
it’s really just sad seeing someone trying to fill some giant black hole of
suck in their lives with ultimately meaningless victories instead of simply
having fun.
They say it’s not the destination but the journey, well, that saying is
obviously wrong – in everything but gaming. In gaming it is indeed how you
played not whether you won or lost.
If I lose horribly but made some great plays I’m far more happy than if I’d
won.

First (I think)?
For next UHC: Each kill awards you an extra 2 hearts.

I dont know if anyone mentioned it yet, but how about modded UHC? For
example add Tinkers Construct, that would make going to the nether much
more interesting!
August 22nd, 2014 at 9:32 AM
You should have gone to the Nether the minute you got the melons, the bow
and the gold. You know you don’t need diamonds to make a portal, you made a
tutorial for making portals with buckets! ;) I know this is pre-recorded,
just keep it in mind for the next one!

The caving rules were not so great, but I think the contributing factor was
the seed selection. Poor seed choice, X

What language is the intro spoken in?
August 22nd, 2014 at 9:39 AM
It actually makes a lot of sense, that the person standing lower has an
advantage. Immagine it in real life: A person is standing on a ledge with
his feet level to your head and you want to poke him, you can easily reach
his legs. But if the other person wants to poke you back he has to bow down
quite a bit to be able to reach you.
