Etho with the tree you could build one yourself so that you can control the foliage and use a launcher rail. Btw use a sickle far better than just waiting for the leaf to disappear

Similar the story of the minecarts falling and losing gear, I remember a story of when I was playing the Xbox 360 version. I was mining and jumped over lava. Then it auto-saved. I continued mining, and died soon after. So i went back to the auto-save. I had lost the momentum and lost all of my gear. Notch just did not want me to have that loot.
