You are what’s wrong with the way we look at the future. You bring up very good points regarding our current usage of nuclear power. But by saying that nuclear power will never be safe, you essentially disregard all research potential for nuclear power, like nuclear fusion (whose byproduct is the noble gas, Helium) Also, you can’t compare coal and nuclear that way. Coal kills more animals per year than nuclear, that’s because these “small mistakes” that let smoke out, are constantly happening.

Have you ever been in the sea? Currents, etc. push the rods around and kill animals and pollute the water.

as you already mentioned in a previous episode, placing a sewage treatment plant next to a water pumping station with filtration pumps will give you a “infinite” water source, it will be more than enough water to run a nuclear power plant with 3 reactors.

As I said before though, Water is a great for cooling and shielding radiation, and unless the fuel actually moved around in the sea, the radiation leak is very local
