Fully Automatic Melon Tower! Minecraft Farm
A different design of my ‘Fully Automatic Melon Farm’ design, I’ve built a stackable verticle version using the same smart-piston and hopper concepts. Enjoy!…

That seems like a LOT of resources for just 1 melon per level. What about increasing quanity of the output for all those resources.

Water isn’t touching dirt so how does it exactly work? Curious. Nice!

Water doesn’t have to touch dirt to hydrate it. It can hydrate a dirt block that is 3 blocks away from the water.

u have to put a space inbetween each level because the redstone torches are touching the hoppers. :-) PS: it’s really big

if you dropped the light source one block to be in between the glass blocks you could have put the water block on top

Very compact. Perhaps the only downside is that there is only one plant per floor, but this way gives you 100% of the space possible and a growth rate of 4 times. You’re a genius! How fast filled the chest with 4 plants?
By the way … I get the impression that watermelons and pumpkins take less time in giving the crops from the 2nd time. You too? This is a matter for Minecraft Mythbusters XD
