About the mobs jumping in the water before the drop, have you considered using vines and thread to reset the fall heigth?

put cobble stone and mossy cobble stone fences instead of wooden fences

Instead of dirt for the path you can use soulsand and mb darker wood? The soulsand would make the jungle kinda suck you in while you follow the path.

Maybe just have some more trees in front of the boundry, just a few to break from the long horizontal line of fence :P

i think you should replace those glass blocks in your bridge to jungle logs or stone bricks :)
