THANKYOU for saying comparitor correctly. Also super awesome video, I love the capacitor function as it powers down slowly.

firstly the BUD switches didn’t activate because only blocks directly adjacent to the piston itself (adjacent to it’s arm or body), secondly in the comparator “array” with the redstone dust in; surely the dust is providing feedback to the opposite side of the array, nokt sure on this point though have you tried separating the two sides?

Is it pronounced compar-a-tor (like it’s spelled), or a compare-a-tor? i pronounce it as a compare-a-tor.

“an introduction the the comparator” could you fix that?

Maybe this flaw with the semi-randomness of comparators can be used for enhanced randomization? xD

now this slow-mo piston part does make sense :D

I believe that the piston experiment is due to minecraft not recognizing half ticks very well so what ends up happening is that the comparitor will round up or down to get to the nearest minecraft tick even number (Meaning if minecraft is moving toward 1 tick everything from 0-.499 etc will round down moving the piston at tick 0 and .5+ will move the piston at tick 1). Just a thought that could be whats causing it.

Wow with a comparator array and if you had a solar block that would send a constant redstone signal as long as there is light you could actually create a solar powered setup in vanilla minecraft that could keep stuff working through the night. Useless but quite amazing
